Electricalc program version 2.2 for windows
ElectriCalc is the most powerful tool available for electric flight! It is used by thousands of satisfied customers. It was designed to take a lot of the mystery out of choosing the right "stuff" for your electric-powered models.
If you see this message, you [hopefully] have a revision lower than 2. The problem was introduced during beta testing to accommodate a user with the need to model a very large wing area man-carrying. The problem occurs with plane names that are the maximum number of characters. The ultimate solution is to update to the latest ecalc2. If you can still run ecalc and get to Update Files then you should be home free. Unfortunately, sometimes the too-long plane name is the default plane and you can't run ecalc.
In this case, edit the file ecalc2. Delete this line and save the file. You should now be able to run ecalc and use Update Files to get rid of this stupid bug. We consider these to be educational tools. The third type are the Prop Selection graphs which are powerful design tools. The By Current , By Gearing , and By Cell Count graphs allow you to choose a group of props based on the graph and have ElectriCalc compute a list of performance parameters that can be sorted, printed, and stored.
The ElectriCalc Analyzer is another powerful tool that allows you to select a range of values for several parameters. ElectriCalc then analyzes all the combinations and throws out anything with RPM too high or current out of the range that you specify. It then selects the Top Ten in each of 4 performance measures so that you don't have to sort through reams of data. It provides a list that you can sort, print and store for future reference. We've also included an animated Tutorial that can get you on board quickly, especially with the new tools.
You can download this tutorial 1. There is an extensive help file that is written to be read like a manual. You can also print out a hard copy using MS Word.
